An Ideal Husband

Yesterday, I was watching 'Khichdi' television series. It is an Indian Comedy Series and trust me, it is
definitely at par with the world popular sitcoms like The Big Bang Theory, is not more. The only thing is that as Hindi aint spoken world-wide, therefore, it still is not famous.

Anyways, so you need to know a very little about the show right now. It is about a Gujarati family which is unique in their own way. They have very different mannerisms from the rest of the world and are very happy in the way they are. They are totally insane and will drive you crazy. However, you can not help loving them. All of the characters are just too sweet and innocent. They can do stupid things but never hurt a single person, not even by mistake.

So... yesterday, when I was seeing the show, I just told my mother that when she would find a guy for me, she should find someone like Prafful. Prafful and Hansa are the total show stealer. They are a total brainless couple and in all the sense, complete each other. They love each other, with all their flaws and most importantly, they love each other for their flaws. They can not live without each other. So only I told my mum to find me a guy like him.

You know, their love story may not involve a lot of romance or going to exotic locations but that is nor love. Their love story includes going to jail together as they can't live without one another. Their love is about Prafful buying gajras for Hansa because she loves them, DAILY. Their love is about the two of them playing antakshari and
singing medleys of Bollywood songs, dedicating to each other. Their love story is about Prafful defending Hansa even before she speaks for herself. Their love story is about Hansa telling that her biggest achievement is marrying Praful. Their love story is about not doing anything but just staying there together.
You know, you should just see the way they look at each other. The way they would give gestures even when the other person is speaking. They would look at each other before laughing or any other emotion. And even after so many years of their marriage, they have that pure tender love. They even think the same. For the same situation, both of them would think the same stupid thing. And they would understand each other even without a word.

I mean, of course I would want to do job and not sit idle all day... but if you ask me what kind of love story I want - I want to marry a guy I adore and that he too would adore me. He should love me not with my flaws but for my flaws. He should laugh at my stupid jokes and complete my songs. He should buy me novels to read and yet read me a story before bed. I don't want him to be the prince but I want him to pamper me as a princess - his princess.

Khichdi, has a total crazy family but
they all love each other so much. Their love for one another is just unconditional. They know the world hates them or is afraid of them but they don't care. Instead, they are so engrossed in each other that they hardly have anytime to think of what the world has to say.

To me, Praful is definitely the ideal husband. He sees Hansa to be the most pretty lady on the planet. He accepts her for who she is and loves her that way. He never forces her for anything and never is irritated by her. Hansa is very much dependent on Praful to know everything. She is naive and innocent and more importantly, has a huge problem with understanding English. She would ask him a thousand times about the different words in English and everytime he would smile and explain it to her. He would play with her. He would go with her everywhere. He would sing her songs and buy her gifts. And the most adorable thing that I found in him, he is too proud to call her his! 'Meri Hansa' !!

Inshallah, someday I will find my Praful ;)

I had the most wonderful feeling experience today! I got myself a new cell-phone. The wonderful experience is that this is the first item I got from my own salary!! Yay!!

I bought - Samsung Grand Prime cell phone. It is duos. And it is beautiful!

I mean, it may not be the best phone in the world but I am going to treasure it forever. I totally love it. I mean I got it from my own salary.

You know, the moment I went to the shop, I already had an idea in mind that I was going to buy this one. The salesperson showed it to me right away. Then I asked her if there were more phones in similar configuration. She showed me a Sony brand. I liked that too but my dad said that Sony Service Centers are few. So, I didn't. Someday, however, I am definitely going to buy that phone too! It was
beautiful....

Anyways... while paying the bill (which was again in my name), I gave my card to get the payment done. During that time too, I was confused about Samsung or Sony. But finally, when I got it home, it is pretty much the most beautiful thing I have ever laid eyes on. It is my new baby!!

Soon, I will also post about this phone. As for now... I just love it and love the feeling. I know I spent my entire month's salary on this phone, yet, I just can't help beaming. Also, I am feeling that now I am independent. I am responsible for my own choices. I can spend my own money for my own things :D

Dr. Cabbie : Movie Review

Okay... Firstly, if you have not heard about this, let me tell you. Dr. Cabbie is a movie. It is financed
bu Salman Khan and you might have heard about it because it stars Isabelle Kaif, Katrina's younger sister. I came across this movie a little differently. It stars Kunal Nayyar, Rajesh Koothrapalli of The Big Bang Theory. Initially, I thought that he was the protagonist but he is not. However, I am really glad that I got to know about the movie.

The movie started with Deepak (Vinay Virmani) who graduates as a doctor from Delhi. He then travels to Canada where his Uncle lives. He wants to help people as his father was a doctor and is now decreased. He and his mother travel there. Despite trying hard, he couldnot get a job. That is when he meets Tony (Kunal Nayyar) who is a Cabbie there. Tony suggests Deepak could become a Cabbie too. At first, Deepak is too adamant of trying to be a doctor only but when he is forced to work at his Uncle's restaurant, doing a lot of misdeeds.
Deepak finally calls Tony and agrees to be a Cabbie. Tony has a special friend Simone (Isabelle Kaif). When Deepak meets the cab contractor, he realizes that the man was ill and Deepak gives him some consultation. On his first day on the streets, he has a hard time finding the routes but he gives alot of useful advice to his first client.
Later that evening, a girl sits in his cab, whom he previously had seen in a Coffee Shop and had fallen in love with at first sight. However, he finds that the girl is pregnant. The three of them (Tony was also there) get stuck in a traffic jam while there is heavy rains outside. Tony and Deepak park the car somewhere side as Natalie (Adrianne Palicki - also, the one who played Jessie in Supernatural, which I just found out!) is going to deliver the baby. Deepak delivers the baby and Tony shoots the whole thing and puts it online. Natalie and Deepak become hit overnight. Deepak gets popular as Dr. Cabbie.
Deepak and Natalie grow close. On the other hand, Natalie was in a relationship with a rich guy who was a future prospect of the state mayor. His dad was a very powerful person who wanted to strong his son's candidature and thus forces him to reconcile with Natalie.
Deepak takes Natalie to his home and they both become close. One day, Deepak finds a muslim girl attempting suicide and he talks her out of it and gives her anti-depressants which were apparently banned in that country. The girl attempts suicide, later, using those anti-depressants. There is a case against Deepak which is fueled by Natalie's ex.
Natalie, who is a lawyer by profession but had to work as a waitress after getting pregnant, takes back to being a lawyer and takes Deepak as her first client. A lot of people come and tell that Deepak had been nothing but service to the community. He is finally announced as not-guilty for all other charges except giving illegal drugs. But then, Natalie marries Deepak, not for the visa but so that she can travel with him. The judge decides not to deport Deepak back. And then we have a happy ending!!

Okay, I was really eager to see this movie and quite honestly, I really loved it.

You see, it is such a simple and beautiful story. It is very imaginable. It is about something that you can really see happening to people and nothing superfluous.  Moreover, there is a scene where Deepak tells the court that he did all this because of the Oath which asks him to be true to his
profession regardless of anything.

For me the catch was definitely Kunal Nayyar. To see him in such a different avatar from his usual Rajesh, is a wonderful feeling. Here, he was a total devil-may-care person and was paired alongside Simone. He spoke bits of 'Hindi' and acted a total playboy. He even looked so different!

Another great surprise for me was Adrianne. I thought I did know her but when I found out that she was in Supernatural... wow! Amazing feeling!

It is a very simple movie with very real life characters and still I would recommend that people should watch it!!

My New Year Resolution : 2015

I thought this time no resolution at all! You see, every year, I think of a resolution. For the last few days of the going year, I fuss over what should be the resolution and what should not be... and then on the Day 1 (like today), I keep that resolution... and then what?

I can't even remember what my resolution was for 2014!! That is bad!

Therefore, I said - no resolution this year!

But then, I felt extremely good today. I was at work and there was a colleague who was sitting beside me. She was doing the same work and me and therefore, we did the work together. The ease with which she was doing, made me feel so good. Because when I was doing it all alone, I was so confused and nervous that it made me feel that I did not know a thing. Today, I felt I am not completely useless :P

Back to the topic... when I felt good, I thought hard and found out that the real reason behind the random happiness is that I am learning something. I am gaining knowledge.

You see, people always say that we work so hard at our jobs but don't get paid for it. Guys, common. Just look at it the other way. You are gaining so much knowledge. You might not realize it but you are learning so much. It makes us such a better person altogether. That knowledge is something that can not be afforded !!

Then, I changed my thought.

Everyday, I am going to try and learn. I will talk, have fun and enjoy but I will learn more.

This is my resolution and I hope I fulfill it.

January 01, 2015 #365

There is nothing better in life than to talk your heart out to a friend. I did that... for more than an hour. A friend who is far away but someone who will always be in the heart.

Okay, wait... let me rewind a little...

I had a good time today. We had a small treat at office and I sang in front of so many people. Good thing was -
a) I can sing again
b) I was happy
c) I sang in front of so many people

And then on the journey back...
I dialed to a friend. I met him 4 months back and we spent 3 months together (away from both our homes) in a totally stranger city. The thing is, this friend, that I would fondly call 'Shelly', after the great legendary - Sheldon Cooper of Big Bang Theory, as this friend is also that witty, is equally addictive. Once you know him, it is impossible to not like him and want to be near him. He is nearly infectious. Lolz.

Anyways, so I called him as he had called in the morning to wish for New Years and I couldn't speak to him. So, I called him and I spoke to him.

It was magical.

I spoke like we had never parted for different cities. He spoke like he is still here... catching me on my small - small habits, like lying :P, hating his flat-mate :P and the bike.

You knows, some people are not there in your life for any reason but just to make you realize how beautiful your life is. Their simplicity reflects your own joys that you had hidden deep within you and forgotten about. Shelly, is one such friend.

He is simple and very funny. He can make you laugh off bad with a fall of a pin. And at the same time he is very sincere and hard-working. And at the same time he knows how to really have fun. This is such a rare combination. In many people you will not even find one... very few are blessed to have two but someone with three and I know him, I am blessed!

When I spoke to him, it was a wonderful feeling. I am really glad that I spoke to him on the first day of the year. It was an 'awesome' beginning.

I feel that I started writing on the first page of the notebook with 365 blank pages, with a good quill, I hope the rest of the story is equally 'awesome' :D
