A Marvellous Answer

A mechanic was removing the cylinder heads from the motor of a car when he spotted the famous heart surgeon in his shop, who was standing off to the side, waiting for the service manager to come to take a look at his car.

The mechanic shouted across the garage,"Hello Doctor!! Please come over here for a minute."

The famous surgeon, a bit surprised, walked over to the mechanic.

The mechanic straightened up, wiped his hands on a rag and asked argumentatively, "So doctor, look at this. I also open hearts, take valves out, grind 'em, put in new parts, and when I finish this will work as a new one. So how come you get the big money, when you and me is doing basically the same work? "

The doctor leaned over and whispered to the mechanic.....

The Ultimate Interview

One young man went for an IAS Interview.

"When did India get independence?" He was asked.

"The efforts began a few years earlier and final result was in 1947" He replied.

"Who was responsible for our independence?"

"There were so many. Whom to mention? If I name one, it will be a injustice to another." He replied.

"Is corruption the number one enemy in our country?"

"Some research is going on the subject and I can answer with certainly only after seeing the report" He replied.

The interview board was very pleased with his original and thoughtful answers and asked him not to reveal the questions to others, since they were planning to ask the same questions.

When he went out naturally others were curious to know what was asked. He politely declined, but one persistent Santa would not leave him. "At least tell me the answers" he pleaded, and our friend obliged.

Then it was the turn of this Santa. When he went inside, since his resume was slightly illegible, the board member asked him." By the way, what is your date of birth?"

He replied, "The effort began a few years earlier and final result was in 1947."

Somewhat puzzled, they asked another clarification. "What is your fathers name?"

He replied, "There were so many. Whom to mention". If I name one, it will be injustice to another".

The interviewer was incensed.

"Hey! Are you mad or what?"

He replied. "Some research is going on the subject. I can answer with certainty only after seeing the report."

Bakra Qistoin Par

I donot know if many of you have heard of this but in case you haven't, trust me you must! First of all, I know the image isnt anything appealing but trust me the play is very much worth watching...
Bakra Qistoin Pe was the first play that I ever watched.. though on a CD... but yes it will always be my favourite. I havent got enough words to tell about it!
Its just nothing but story about a family. A man who is forgetful, his wife - a little hyper, his 3 daughters and they searching for grooms and ofcourse the servant and the 3 groom families. Its just routine but still it is some how so hillarious that today that even though I remember all the dialoges by heart, I know what will come next, yet it is one thing I love to watch and each time I watch it, I never get bored... but I laugh even more!!
Moreover, I would like to add that some topics taken in the play are very good - like India - Pakistan hate thing. This is so mean. I mean when you see the play, you will see that Indians are so popular there and those people have no hatred for us but still just hatred between few power holders show us as enemies. When you see them, you see their lifestyle is very much like ours. Some traditions or language may vary but the values and basic mentality is same. We are all same... still!!
And ofcourse if I dont take this topic... I will not be doing any justice -> The laughter package. I must compliment the actors. They are simply wonderful!
Umer Shariff - all I can say is that he can make anyone laugh. There is no match for him that I know. A very very very fine actor and his dialoge delivery is just too amazing. Hats off...
The guy who play Anand Sharma... thats the only little match for Umer Shariff... this guy is so charming and so gifted. His dialoges are amazing and the way he speaks in different accents.. I am just a die hard fan!
Next is Sharfu the servant played by Rauf Lala... what do i say... he is simply hillarious...!!
Other some really complimented actors were the rest of the cast...
Trust me... this is one thing to be watched!

Shivangi...

I know it's probably the most weird thing to do... but it's the fact that there are some people in my life that I will never forget. They shall always be my best friends no matter whatever happens.

Well Shivangi Raheja... is probably my best friend for ever... we arent talking today but I know she is there to listen no matter how ever far we are and I even know that she knows I am there to listen to her!

Its very difficult to write about Shivangi. She's one person who believes in everything that I believe in. She understands my thoughts and there are times when I donot need to add words either. I may be speaking 'gibberish' but I know she will always know what I mean. And its nothing to know, its like, I have seen her understand.

She is one of the things that I have earned in this school and I know that I shall never forget her. This school will definitely be special for it gave me a friend... much more than a friend... a sister!

When I first came to this school, Shivangi was just part of the girls in my class. There was a big group of girls and all appeared same to me at first. Later, then when we came to 9th, just we 6 girls from one section came to this IX - B... and we all would stick together and be together always. And thats probably when me and Shivangi came to know each other more.

There's nothing much to know about Shivangi. My friend is as simple as anything. Always smiling, and indeed laughing, confused, clumsy... hair tied into a pony and in winters a full sleeve sweater, sleeves pulled up. Thats Shivangi!

Shivangi also gave me of my best priced possession. I cannot thank her enough to make me meet some of the best people I have. Its her that I met Lalit maam, Sudhakar sir and Aditya. Thanks to her. About these people later... but trust me these people are really sweet!
Well.. further.. later things changed!
Dont know why Shivangi went distant... she lost her own nature-ness. Firstly she started being not herself donno why... Still later she was back for some time with my 'Rajeev Jeeju'... I shall never forgive her for giving me such a handsome hunk as a jeeju (Rajeev Khandelwal)... thats another story some other time...
Anyways, today me and Shivangi never talk. We just pass each other and stare with blank eyes... I just know one thing, whenever I see her laugh, I feel happy. I donot need to talk to her; just knowing she is fine is enough. And as far as she is concernt... I know she will always know how I am...
I just pray that everyone gets a friend like Shivangi in their lives... She to me is just like Spring after along winter... she is the friend you can desire for!
Shivangi.. just one thing.. I donot know you read it or not but I want to tell you that you are the sweetest person I know. I will call you a friend till the day I live and I just hope you find back your original beauty.. I like you the way you were... changing yourself for someone is not right... however, I even like you the way you are and I hope you get all you want in your life... you get all your desires and be really happy!

Something worth reading..

Well this really aint a poem.. its just what I read in a friend's scrapbook.. these are few lines.. and I dont have an idea if she even wrote them herself or copied them from somewhere but I find them really beautiful... its her way of defining someone special to her.. and I would really want these lines to be in my blog...

saansein teri
ye mann bhi tera
palkoin par meri
hai sapna tera

le chal tu apne saath
jahan mile din raat
chal lungi ant tak
tham le tu jo mera haath

door se tujhe dekhti hoon
bas yehi sochti hoon
kash ye pal tham jaaye
nazaroin mein tera aks jam jaaye
phir dekhti hoon
tujhe dekhte hue
sharm se tab ye palke jhuk jaaye
kuch der mein, jab tu mujhe dekh kar hase
sach kahun, teri hasi mein ye dil jhoom jaaye
sab dard, sab gham bhula kar
us pal mein bas hum reh jaaye
waqt na chale
saansein bhi jam si jaaye
bas tu aur teri aankhein dikhe
jo tere jaane ke baad...
zindagi bhar ke liye
yaadein ban jaaye!

He who must not be forgotten!

Firstly, no this is not at all related to Lord Voldemort of the famous Harry Potter saga. This is just to pay tribute to all those people who become the silent victims of terrorism and wars... and I am not refering to soldiers or common civilians.

Some months back, a movie was released - Aamir and it was what made me think on this topic. The story line is about an NRI who comes back to India, to his family and as he steps out of the Airport building, he discovers that his family is kidnapped. To save his family, he must do what he is asked to... in the end he finds out he was being used to implant a bomb in a public transport. Being a good citizen, he takes out the bomb and chooses to die alone with it then kill several others.Aamir, the male protagonist, was a Muslim... and as the movie ends... it ends on a sad note with all news channels declaring Aamir as a terrorist but the question is that will you really call Aamir a terrorist?
I wonder, how many people each year die the death of Aamir? How many were true patriots but were termed as Terrorists? How many mothers will die waiting for their sons? How many sisters wont see their brothers again?

Why is there so utter hatred in our hearts? Where is the line which divides Hindus and Muslims? I want to see it... A third country, divides a big nation into two according to majority of Hindus and Muslims and since then we have been idiots fighting each other rather than joining hands to smash the face of the third party. Even in history, we all study that the Britishers adopted the policy of divide and rule and what not but how many of us really not dream of going to Europe or America to get further education?

I agree that Pakistan has been too mean to have wars and things but I cannot outlook that we have answered each war with more blood shed and more loss of lives. Are we less to blame? India has been a sufferer or the division and wars but same with Pakistan. Why does the word 'Pakistan' ring a danger warning in minds of Indians and vice - versa...

Eventually, the Indo - Pak thing came down to Hindus and Muslims... which is even worse. I really donot get this how does it make any difference if you are a Hindu or a Muslim? Isnt this more important that we are all humans? Out of the Trillions and trillions of creatures on this Earth, God chose a few billion lucky ones to be supreme and we are one of those? Why criticise God for hatred but thank him for making us all able to think and respond!

I something wonder that we all desire something or the other... the poorest of the poor will always demand for some money, food or other things and similarly the rich... they will demand as well... but both have 2 things in common - firstly they will always ask God... for the rich has none above him and the poor has too many... and secondly they both will never thank God for he created them and let them be a part of his creation... his beautiful creation..

I donno how to end this article or say this thought... all i will say is... for once close your eyes and from all your strength and heart call your God and say 'Thank You for making me what I am.' Thank him for firstly creating you and secondly making you able to do something (we all are capable of doingn something atleast)... and trust me there will be peace in your heart from that moment... the moment you stop seeing bad in others, I guarantee there will be no bad left in this world! And I guess this is the only way to end all the wars...

Great things come in small packages

You know something... some of the best things in life are totally free... dont believe it rite?

"They say that good things take time.. but really great things happen in a blink of an eye"

Well you can see for yourself... parents, friends, luck, life, love, care, warmth, affection, talent, brilliance... these are all free... God has given everyone equal amount of these and also equal opportunity to everyone to grasp these to the maximum... now its entirely to us how much we make use of them or how fast are we at the art of learning them... and trust me thats all what makes the difference...

But you know that we, humans are really forgetful... A person once qouted to me that 'change is the only thing permanent in this world and still we resist it the most'... similarly... there are all the happiness of the world in store around us but we never want to look... indeed we look at distances to find happiness and satisfaction...

And somewhere it really hurts to see people being so ignorant. I know I am being all to philosophical and stuff but as this blog is just for what I feel.. therefore nowdays, all I feel is that we really dont look around us and in searching far away, we miss some of the very beautiful things in life!

Daily... or say 5 days a week, I see a father wait for his son after the school gets over and when the son arrives, the father doesnt speak a word for he has his friends or collegues along but the way the father puts a hand on his son's back - always... the way the father will wait for minutes or go the other way then the one that is suitable just to meet his son or the way he smiles when his son is with him... is really admirable and if you ever get a chance to talk to the father... he is a very proud father. He has full trust on his son and often gives examples of his son to even students elder to his son. I really love it when I listen the father tell about his son for that time his words arent mere words... he speaks out his pride, his love for his son, his happiness and above all father-hood... This is something I call beautiful but you know what half of the people in this world donot have even few minutes in their so much busy schedule to listen to a father... and even if they do, they find this waste or boosting. Its sad to see people have lost the sight to differentiate between love and boosting!

Today itself I was talking to my teacher and I told him that I was upset that he isnt gonna teach us anymore and can you believe what he told me? I donot believe it myself... he told that he will be there always and if I get clear through my entrance, he will most glad! This dude (sir) earns more than a lakh per month... owns a nice car... 2 cell phones... some of the finest men clothing I have ever seen... but still what really I respect about him is that he is so sweet and down to Earth... He will listen to you even if you are in a shouting crowd of 100 and not just you... he will listen to all 100... He helps through whatever problems you share with him... and I mean I told him today that people like you are hard to find and I did mean it! I dont think I will meet sweet people like him often... He said that even years later if I need help, he will be there and I know this is true!

See I dont really mean to bore anyone with stories about people I know, I just wanted to share that somethings that we dont see or ignore are beautiful and these are the only things which are beautiful in this world! And I will just say that I am very lucky indeed to have known such people or been in such situations... Thank You God and I do pray that all people do see these beautiful things... for if they do, their search for peace, beauty and stuff will be over. These small things are all that constitutes the world... and to be frank I am hell sure I would have had a nervous breakdown till now if it wasnt for such small smiles that keep me going on!

Well not making it too long... I just want you all to see around yourselves and I am sure you shall find millions of smiles in just one turn!

I just grew old...

No, I havent aged... the title is the excuse we often give in life for not doing things we once enjoyed...
There are many things we love but feel ashamed to admit that we love them thinking that we are too big to like them... duh??? One day while sitting at my cousins place, I saw that he was watching teletubbies and surprisingly I remembered everything about it... the names of the characters and their habits.. and the smiling sun.. and their house.. each and every detail... for some moments, I was years back... reliving all I had already lived and then I realised what all I was missing...
I shall never be able to smile in innocence seeing Teletubbies again... for today there are things that govern my mind... I have a future to make.. career to choose... and many hopes to live upto. As I will grow, these will increase and one day I will sooner or later, forget teletubbies.

Maybe years later, if I see a kid watching the show... I might put a comment 'Oh this show still comes? I watched it when I was your age.' but I will never get that pleasure again and to be honest I am very selfish here... I dont want to loose that carefree smile. Why should I grow up to be sad?

We all love cartoons and I dont think there is anyone who didnt watch Scooby Doo, Dexter's Lab, Pokemon, Powerpuff girls, Tom and Jerry, Noddy and so many other shows. But today, if we see someone else watching them, we will just say "how childish!" ... or ask our younger siblings to grow up and concentrate on something worth while...

See I do agree to the fullest that these shows donot give anything that can be considered worth while to anyone who has passed the age when we loved the show but this doesnt mean the show isnt good! Think of it... how many times have you smiled seeing Tom being tricked by Jerry... or sung the Dexter's Lab title track? Have you not wanted a doggie like scooby? I donot feel anything bad in admitting yes... I love these shows and no matter what so ever they will always be my favourite for you know what - they gav me uncountable number of smiles! They worked as a kind of link for 2 strangers... if u dont know a person but you both like a common show... and u just start talking about it.. who knows tomorrow you can be best of friends...

Well.. I know all this is pointless to all who say 'I have grown up' but I will say that neither have I grown up and nor do I plan to! If discovering new paths in life means to quit old ones... forget it I am not aboard!!

Traditions and Rituals

First of all, Happy Holi to one and all...
May this festival of colours fill in light and life in you and the ones around you! Have a great time...

For those who donot know what Holi is, - Holi is a festival celebrated in India. It is believed that a young lad was a great devotee of Lord Vishnu. Now this boy Pralad, was born in the family of devils. His father and evil aunt Holika, tried all they could to get him stop praying to Lord Vishnu but the boy wouldnt stop. So one day, they decide to burn him. Holika was granted a wish by Lord that she wouldnt die even if she sat in fire... so she decided to carry Pralad with him... Now, God saw all this and got very angry... he took away the wish he had granted and the result was that Holika died and Pralad came out safe...
Henceforth, Holi is celebrated to mark that. On the first day, at night, fire is burnt to burn away all evils in us just like Holika was burnt. The next day we play Holi i.e. throw colours, water and nowdays chemicals on each other and enjoy!

I know this wasnt really anything interesting but today while watching the Holi burn, I found something interesting in a disturbing way.

In this country India, having a population much more than 100 crores, even if 1 lakh places burn wood; I really dont see the future in that case. I agree that this is a tradition and all the stuff related to it but dont you think its bad? I mean common, on an average if 20 - 25 logs per fire, that is like 22.5 lakhs of logs for the entire country and even more times will be the pollution. No wonder we are even leading in the percentage of people having breathing diseases.

I like Holi alot and I do love playing it too... but not at the cost of lives.
The other day in News, they said that the colour (gulal) contains finely crushed tube - light (yup the same one that burns in your room rite now) and so when you apply this colour onto someone's face, they are bound to get infection or cuts and stuff... worse if the colour enters your nose or throat, it will cut them from inside. It can cause a lot of damage to eyes too.
Secondly - sweets. Dont we all love to buy a nice packet of sweets and carry it to our relatives place or keep it in frnt of guests that visit our place to wish us. I know we all do, and even if we dont, this is manners. So we all buy loads of sweets these days and also eat loads of them... but have you ever wondered that how suddenly did you get so many sweets from?
In a month with no festival in it, if the consumption of sweets is 100, during festivals it rises to 10000 ... or even more (I dont really know but yes it definitely increases)... why? whats so special? And most important, how do manufactures meet up with these requirements? Does the cows and buffalows suddenly start giving more milk? Or the sugar factories supply more sugar per unit input? I dont think so...
The answer is simple... here again synthetic products are mixed and used! These chemicals can be very dangerous.. frm mild gas problems they can cause even to serious alsars and God knows what not?

When we see that just by sticking to what - is - done - as - a - ritual - for - years, if we just apply some mind and some efforts, dont you think every festival can be enjoyed a little more? Today while seeing the Holi burn, there was only one thought in my mind... how many bodies will be burnt in which the smoke of this fire will play a cause?

Just wanna say that with all due respects to all Gods and rituals, I will just say that I donot believe in anything of such sort should be done and I would just want everyone to pay a single thought to it...
Remember : A drop makes the very difference.. of empty to full.. a drop can make something empty and its a drop which makes something full!

I donot wanna see you sad... be happy!

"You can go on with your life without any more interference from me. It will be as if I'd never existed"... This is dialoge from Twilight Part 2 : New Moon by Shephenie Meyer... well I will just say that something really very similar to Twilight is happening in my life and so I can say - these words hurt!
I donot really understand how can someone say something so harsh... certainly these words must be hard enough to be said but they are harder to listen. The person who says them never realises that he is special...
This is the worst part of human and vampire behaviour... some people say they rule the world while some will say that they are useless.. no one cares about them... or stuff which isnt really true...

For just that one Edward - like - super hero - and - dumb - dude - I know :
Sweety...Please realise that you arent what you say... there are times when you sound the most intelligent guy of the Universe and there are also times when I find you much more duffer than my young sis...No matter what the situations are like... the truth and the fact will be that you are one of the best people I came across and you matter... alot!

So please donot tell me that you dont matter and what your opinion can do... your opinion can change a whole dimension around me and this is fact!
Just look around yourself and you will find atleast one person out of every 100 who is really willing to listen to you, share his / her mind with you... who cares for you and loves to be with you!Keep Smiling...you look great when you smile! ;)

And this is something I would wanna tell everyone around... there cannot be a person who isnt liked by others. If you think everyone hates you or any such stuff... just know one thing... that by thinking this and making yourself an all time low... you are making someone else miserable... there are eyes which sparkle at your smile and when you say something like this, they shed tears. There's a heart that beats faster when shares a happy moment with you... which to see you sad aches...

God never created anyone alone... these boundaries and classifications are all human made. Its just like we never wanted to share a laughter that we created them..Anyways, please I can just say to all of you reading that whenever next time you feel low or stuff... no matter life treats you ill... but always your laughter can make someone else's day and the secret thing is - to an aching heart, the only soothness is when it can make someone else smile!

Quotations
