Being 'Materialistic'

Just yesterday, the teacher of English for our extra aptitude classes, mentioned his blog. He said his friend earns a living of like 2.5 lakhs from the blog, and seeing that, he started blogging. He is now earning like 10000 monthly. In the same flow, he then said that people hate the word 'materialistic' however he loves it.

The honest confession would be that I don’t either find anything wrong with being materialistic. I mean sir would be like in his later half of the twenties or the very early thirties, but definitely not a day more. At his age, everyone wants to earn; that is the primary reason why anyone would work in the prime of their lives. As in, this is one age period when we are adult enough to make choices and take decisions but this is also the only time when we can enjoy our lives to the maximum. So, if he wants to earn more, apart from his regular job, there is no wrong that I see. Moreover, he is definitely earning money the honest way. There is nothing wrong with blogging, rather the entire world says that we should blog.
On the same line of thought, the other teacher said that the entire world is definitely getting online. And by blogging, we definitely get a feel of how it is going to be like in a few years from today.

Getting ahead, like my room-mate said after listening to sir, that there are a number of beneficial things that one can do online, yet what is most chosen is - facebook, twitter, chatting, youtube, etc. Guys and Gals, oh common! Get a life! Its not that I don’t facebook or twitter or chat or youtube for that matter, but the internet is filled with a hundred of better things. Make an effort to find atleast one of them.
Like the other sir said, you can choose to buy a book from ebay or flipkart or any other online shopping site, but you can always spare a few minutes and search the internet and you are bound to find the book or another similar book, free of cost. He said that in a matter of minutes, he was able to find ebooks otherwise worth 26000. And this is true, I myself possess ebooks for course materials to the latest programming technologies to novels to user-manuals, and it is all out there, staring at you.

In a way, I did use the net to save some money, and for the same, it wouldn’t be a hard thing to call me 'materialistic'.

Just to make myself clear, I am not against the word, and unlike experts in the language, I don’t find any word negative or positive. There are just words. If you do good, the word used to account for your act is good, but if you do bad, then definitely there needs to be a corresponding word to account for that too. As in, if no one ever did steal, then the word 'steal' wouldn’t be there at all. So there is no point in saying that a word is a word. Similarly, being 'materialistic' is bad if you con people and hurt others to make your way through. But if you are just not wanting an attachment in the way, I doubt if there is anything wrong.

Yes, I do believe in what Gandhiji prophesized. He said that progress for the sake of progress of a single person is never progress. Only when the society progresses, do we all progress in the real manner.
I do believe that we don’t have to be mean little folks and there is definitely always scope to help those around you but common, in a world like today's where everyone is doing all to help themselves, if you just sit back and wait for the society to progress, I am sorry my friends to break it to you, the entire world is moving down in the graph. There is no rising from where we are headed to. As they say, we are all going to hell, so better you do your part of sins before landing there.

Even after writing this much, I cant deny that much of this is never implemented by me. Like I mentioned in my other post, I did want to earn money from blogging. Okay, let's just get clear on this point - I like blogging and there is no harm earning a few bucks out of it. Also, I get lazy when I just write, but when I was writing for monetary reasons, I always wanted to blog more and more. That is a better thing I believe.
Back to point well, like  already stated, I really wanted to earn money, but that was never at the cost of the satisfaction that I get when I see a comment in the post saying that they liked it. Or remember the post where I wrote about a person who mentioned my blog in his post and also said that he felt motivated reading it, these are two instances of moments where money seems to loose it value (and that's saying something for if I would have, I would have earned in US dollars ;P). But ofcourse, today I am a student, my parents are there to support me financially. All I got to do is study and enjoy. So in a way of saying, I have all the time in the world to think all good and do good. Probably when I come of age where earning becomes more of a necessity than a unknown venture, as it is for me now, maybe then I might consider this to be a better source of income than it is today - a source of contentment and satisfaction for my hunger to write more and more.

Sometimes, words just cannot describe it all

Just while googling my own blog, I stumbled upon this another blog which mentioned my blog and also
my name. The author (a 'he') seems to have read one of my posts long back and was motivated by it or atleast the post got him thinking enough for him to write it in his blog.

First of all Prabhav - thanks a ton! I am really honored.

And well, here is something what I shared with him, that I would love to share on my blog as well.
Recently, I discovered alot of ad sites that post ads on your blog and depending on various factors, they pay you. Now well, who doesnt want to make some free money? So do I... Next thing I know I am trying all the possible options on my blog and this is the primary reason that you see me blogging so much off recently.
To be honest, I really like writing and I find it really sacred. Therefore, no matter whatever the situation might be, I will never and I mean NEVER ever blog something that I dont believe or just put up things that will fetch more clicks but wont be of any value. Instead, to blog more, I have been blogging on topics that I wouldnt have blogged about earlier. I am trying reviews and tips and other things that are often searched - things that I search. So its like half-hearted content. But trust me, anything that I write, I dont fake. If I have written a tip, I have tried it. You can have that word from me.

But you know reading Prabhav's post, I felt that his few words were more than what millions of dollars
would fetch me. After all, a writer's true asset is that if even for a moment, I make a difference.

Before I proceed, let me take this opportunity - Prabhav thank you so much for bringing me back to Earth. I needed that.
Next, what you said - I am no trained writer that you kind of imaged. I just write. But as I said that I find it very sacred, so I do it all from the heart.

Someone quoted to me today itself - Its important to do the right thing. Only thats how you break the chain and eventually the bigger picture will fit itself to being right ;)

And now, I solemnly swear I am upto no good :) and promise that from now onwards if I post anything on this blog - I will give the content the full thought that I used to. It might be to promote my blog or to add the number of visitors, but there will be sufficient posts that describe all my thoughts and whatever I feel.

Ps : It indeed is my miracle of the day!!

Happy Blogging!!

RIP Sweety, Jiah Khan, may you find your Safe-Haven

I switched on my computer on the morning of the 5th of July and was shocked when the welcome Yahoo homepage displayed "Jiah Khan suicide" and links to the videos and the photographs for the poor girl, now departed.

I never was a fan but yes the girl was good enough to have gained a name for herself in such short time. Unlike some defamed actresses, who earn their way into the industry having to expose beyond a limit, but they continue to do so. Jiah here, was yes, much more bold and had the sensual appeal that could be matched by very few, yet she had proven herself with her role in Ghajini, where she played a regular medical college student who helps the protagonists in several ways.

Indeed, in the last scene of Ghajini, she is acting as the source that unites Sanjay to his older self. When she gave him the present and the way she smiles to him, that was really good; for before when she sold his information to Ghajini, I so wanted to … aaargh!! Never say anything bad, for anyone; especially to the decreased.

Well, I immediately googled and read the entire story. It was definitely sad. I mean yes, she wasn’t the ultimate superstar or she wasn’t the prettiest lady to walk the planet, but she definitely had the potential and no one can deny that she was pretty! See how cute she can look!!

And it does take a lot of time to get a name for yourself. She was just beginning her career. Like, say, I try real hard to write and to write good, so as to become a better blogger. But as of now, all I think I have achieved is that I am addicted to blogging. When not blogging, I find myself reading about how to blog better or what is the content that should be blogged about - as a result, you see my posts are different than what they used to be earlier. Similarly, had she stayed on, not giving up and putting up a fight, I am sure in due time, she would definitely have attained the fame she truly deserved and common, I am not saying this now for she's dead. I have seen her in Ghajini and in Housefull and she did a good job of whatever was given to her. Now it aint her fault that she is given a side role!

Anyways, then there with the discovery of her suicide note, that was really shocking. For one, I, who barely knew anything about her, leave knowing her personally, felt at a complete loss for words after reading that letter! But yes, if there is one thing that I can say - that is - SHE WAS STUPID!

Sorry, if anyone close to her is reading, but who the hell gives their life for a guy?

I mean right in the first place she should have kept her distance when she knew that he was cheating on her. And then well, Suraj Pancholi?? Yeah, right! I heard his name after he was accussed for driving Jiah to suicide! But I knew Jiah! She was way more famous than he will ever be - and even after being helped by Salman Khan. No offense Salman, I know you are helping but oh common! Just look at him, he got no face. Now, I will just have to be stupid enough like Jiah to like him and if I am stupid enough, I will rather do suicide than like him! AND I DON’T BELIEVE IT - She had a secret baby?? With him? And an abortion too?? WERE YOU TOTALLY OUT OF YOUR MIND GIRL??

I don’t have anything against babies, I really like them but common, you don’t have babies when you arent even settled yet. Its not that if you had a baby you wouldn’t be able to raise it well but why have one when you in yourself are not satisfied with what level you have accomplished? Atleast a person should be in peace with himself before he or she can nurture another life.

And then okay, your letter tells that you werent ready and all the love crap, but then getting the baby aborted? You had to be possessed by an alien to make you do so crazy!! Who gets a baby killed?? Especially their own!! Right, I know India aint that perfect picture like I made it sound. There are several abortions everyday. People kill girls immediately after they are born and everything. But you were supposed to be from the educated and sensible part of the flock. Seriously, the last thing I would want in India is that people like film-stars, crickets and other celebrities who are the role models for 1000z of others to do something like that.

And the biggest thing that you did - if he was cheating on you - GO GET A LIFE!! If he tried to torment you or torture you physically - GO TO THE POLICE!! None of them involve hanging yourself off the ceiling. Did you even think what your mother and your sister might feel. How your friends are going to remember you as? How will anyone to whom you mattered, move on?? THIS WAS ONE VERY SELFISH STUPID THING TO DO!

Its really easy to die, try living with the pain! That  is the real thing that kills!

And common, if the guy didn’t value you when you were alive, would he ever value you after you are dead?

You could have easily gotten several better guys!

Trust me sweetheart, if I could, I would bring you back to life. For you arenot, rather no one is destined to such an end. Love is a beautiful feeling and you just invested in the wrong place. No one deserves to die for that.. Rather no one should be stupid enough! We learn from our mistakes.

But now, all I can do is, pray that you find peace. That you are finally able to shed away all the pain that you wrote about and move on. And I also pray that others see the light before doing what you did! Amen!

RIP honey. Be at Peace

Three major differences between the Ladies coach and the General Coach in Delhi Metro.

I spent good one and a half months going to and back from my training office. And in these one and a half months, I have taken the Delhi Metro for the exception of 2 times. Rest each and every day, twice a day, I have the privilege to  travel in the Delhi Metro.

No, I am not being sarcastic here. Delhi Metro is definitely a backbone for Delhi. I see hundreds of people making their way across the city. Had it been not for the metro, people wouldn’t even take jobs which like requires hours to drive to. Definitely, if we were to ever count the blessings on Delhi, the Metro would be in the tops, and the UPA Government might never even make it to the list. Well, lets just keep that for another post; either ways with blogging stuck up in my head, I am already out of topics.

Continuing to the Delhi Metro, let me first be brief about what the topic actually is.

To all those who have travelled in the Delhi Metro, they know that "The first compartment of Every Train is reserved for ladies only". I initially travelled in the ladies compartment both the times, but thanks to a new friend, I am now travelling in the general compartment in the way back. And there are some prominent differences that I noticed, which I am going to share!

  1. No matter if every seat is full, atleast 2 ladies will adjust (in every more than 2 seater seats). And in the general compartment, even if there is a little space and it is like VISIBLE clearly, people don’t ask you AT ALL to move here or there to make space. I mean, general is definitely much more crowded than the Ladies compartment, and the same ladies travel in it. Yet, no one seems to mind standing if in the general compartment. And honestly, I have no reason (rational or irrational) about it.

  1. As soon as someone gets up from their seat in the Ladies compartment, even before they have moved a step forward, there is already someone on the seat. The golden rule of the Ladies Compartment - "If someone moves, they are getting up, go GRAB that seat" :P .. Something it is so funny. And there is a little less exception to this rule in the general compartment. I was travelling one day in the general and it was so damn crowded, so I decided that we will go in the next one but what the hell, lets just stand with the crowd. Initially people pushed passed me to enter the compartment and then I thought I might want to move along so as to not being crushed by a stamped, just then a lady pushes me with all her strength in the opposite direction to grab a seat. I mean what the hell lady?? You could be a little better with people half your age!! And I think because aunties behave like this, the young crowd is a little too reluctant to give seats to even the needy.

Whereas one day when I was travelling in the general compartment, a few seats vacated and there
were enough candidates to claim all of those, still no one moved an inch till the gates were completely closed. And even then, men were gentleman enough to offer the seats to any lady standing than running to the seats themselves.

You know I have been mostly proud being a girl but at situations like these, I think are these really women - the softer of the two??

Anyways, finally and definitely the best -

  1. Whenever a small kid (less than 2 years) enters in the Ladies compartment, all the standing people surround the baby and start talking to him/her. They keep talking and trying to get his/her attention till the mother and the baby have not boarded off the train. So you hear a lot of 'awwz' and all the cute expressions. And yesterday a man was holding his little boy in the metro general compartment and then the baby started making noises seeing from the window. The two men besides that man with the baby made such faces as though the man was suffering from some very bad disease. I mean common guys!! The baby will make weird noises and that's totally cute!!

I will surely continue my analysis on the two different Metro compartments and be back with more; but I think it will take some while longer for my training ends tomorrow and so does my daily metro journey!!

Ps - If you got some more, do share with me and everyone else ;)

Miracle of the day - 17 July 2013

While going back from office to home, I saw a couple in the metro. The guy looked like he was working a decent job for a couple of years now. A girl, who looked maybe a trainee or someone who couldn’t be working for real long or maybe not working at all, boarded the train along with him.

I tried my best to engage in conversation with the friend I was travelling with and not to stare at them, but I couldn’t help. Guys (to the couple), if you ever read this, and you remember me - there is just one thing I want to say, that I will always pray that the two of you remain like this forever.

As soon as they entered, there was no seat, but the guy found the best spot in the coach available for her, the pole with the map of the metro routes where you can lean, beside the door. However, the girl didn’t want to stand there. The guy said that she would tire herself.
Yet, she insisted. So they stood directly in front of me. The girl also asked me which stop was I getting off, so she knew when she could sit. Well, normally I really hate when people do that but this was the thing that made me notice them even more. So, in a way, it was more of a luck than getting annoyed. Anyways, the guy had this Samsung Galaxy Note 2  and he showed the girl with loads of enthusiasm that he had installed a lot of games on the phone for her. He opened a game and let her play. She took the phone, playfully saying that she will play when she gets the seat. However, she starts playing.

Not knowing the game, she looses, does petty mistakes and always makes a sad face when she does loose. The boy, gently takes the cell and tells her the right way to play. And he would always address her using 'Aap' and call her 'Dear' and 'Darling'… Aww, you know that was really, really sweet!

I just couldn’t help keep noticing them and when finally I got up to leave, the girl actually had to mischievous smile on her face and she was much more eager than I was. The amazing thing was, that there is a peace on the boy's face that finally, his sweetheart can sit and relax.

I havent seen such kind of love in a long time. And all I wanted to do was to tell the boy to never change and keep her like this, for the rest of their lives!

I think, that this was my miracle. To witness something so beautiful. You know, at times like these, I often wonder that when there is so much to be thankful about, so much to love, so much to care for, how does anyone find time to hate or fight?

Men's guide to WOO her!!

Okay, with two of my good friends MARRIED!! And many of them committed and in a relationship, I guess I have seen quite a variety of couple, that I can write this article doing some justice to it.
You know, I kinda think I am one of those girls, like Geet in Jab We Met, to whom people share their problems. Most of the times, these arent problems.

It is very easy to make 'Blonde' jokes or joke about girl's I.Q.s, but it is extremely difficult to understand a girl. Atleast that is what more than half of the world (the man population) says :P

Trust me guys, it isnt as difficult as you think. A girl thinks a lot - I mean A LOT when I say it; however, she doesn’t desire much.

Gifts, now you will say are so expensive and a girl just wants more and more of them. But common guys, is there another way that you think to show your love and care? Actually, there is! But how many of you know what they are?
Try one of these (if you can try more than 1 and see the magic work) and you bet the number of gifts you need to buy will reduce -

  1. No matter how bad your handwriting is or how your lion may look like a mouse when you draw, just take a sheet of paper, draw the two of you together and write 'Together Forever'. If you don’t want, don’t color it, let it be pencil - sketched or just in blue - ink. But gift her before you say her goodbye for the day (or just give her right before she sleeps, in case you are married)… and see how she blooms.
  2. 'Good Morning' works good.. Try saying 'I Love You' or calling her with love names such as 'Shona', 'Jaanu', 'Beautiful', etc, first thing you see her in the morning.
  1. If you can, buy her gifts that she can carry around - like small stuff toys, rings or bracelets, handkerchief, etc and not big things.
  2. NEVER! Trust me NEVER ever buy a card for your girl. You might want to draw it. It doesn’t really matter if it is the funniest card you have ever seen, it will be a treasure for her.
  1. Every time you talk to her on the phone, ask her to smile, for she looks beautiful doing so!
  1. Hold her hand at random moments. Don’t hold it always and never hold it too tight. But sometimes when you are passing in a crowd or just strolling, just hold her hand to let her know you are there.
  1. If she is angry or upset, try listening to her. A girl doesn’t share with everybody. It is only a few privileged people who hold the key to her tears. Only those people can share her tears and only those can make her cry. Be the first kind.
  1. Make her a part of your life. I mean, fine, she may not even understand a small part of what you do in your office or at your studies, but if you just try to tell her, she would love to listen.
  2. Very IMPORTANT!! If she did something for you, try to see the feelings behind it. Don’t complain. And well, do the same. If you did something and she took it the wrong way, again be patient and let her calm down. Then you can talk some sense into her. Shouting will never cease.
  3. Best of all - dedicate a day to her. If there is one day that you want to make special and memorable for her, let her choose what to do. Or plan it out with things she loves. Take her to her favorite restaurant, or visit her favorite shop. Let her make the choices for the day, even the small ones!!

Let's jus say, I know guys can get real serious if they are really in the relationship and of course you love her damn A LOT! But common what is shown is what sells! Even when there is love, you need to express it. Of course gifts and dinners are one way of expressing it, but they aren't the only ways. And there is a limit to the gifts. You get married and you just buy gifts for others or maybe on real special occasions. But if you keep these gestures, you will definitely see her smile more often!

The Lucky One - Book Review

'The Lucky One' by Nicholas Spark
Honestly, when I read it, I felt that this would be one of the books written by Nicholas Spark, when he was just starting with novels, but NO! It is indeed his last book before the Last Song. And Last Song is one book I totally love!!

Anyways, what really makes me write this review is the idea behind the book! Ofcourse like all other
The cover I have and read ;)
Nicholas Spark books, this one is again a love story.

SPOILER ALERT ahead ;)

So, we have a guy named Logan and he was serving in the Marines. One day he finds the photo of a girl and it becomes his lucky charm. During his 5 years of war, he see his friends all die one after the other but he survives. There is one friend of his - Victor, who too survives, but dies soon later. Well, Victor believed that this picture was Logan's lucky charm and so Logan should atleast go visit the girl and say thanks.

Logan had already been curious enough to who this girl was or how she might have been today. Anyways, he goes to search her and eventually finds that the backdrop of the picture is from Hampton. Taking his chances, he decided to walk there on foot.

This girl, Elizabeth or now Beth, is a single mother, living with her grandmother (Nana) and son Ben. Her ex is the local sheriff and like from the most influential family around. This is the source of problem in Beth's life… until Logan one day walks up her drive.

He doesnt have the guts to tell her why he really is there, instead he takes up the job at Nana's dog training school. He does all the cleaning and then feeding the
dogs, taking them to walk, and everything without a single complaint and at the minimum of the wages. He is just content to have found Beth and likes to be around her.

Initially Beth suspects him for lying or not being genuine when she knows that he walked the whole distance and he doesn’t tell her the reason. Eventually, Ben and Logan bond over really nicely.

Zac Efron as Logan in the movie
Ben's father was totally disappointed in his son. He wanted his life perfect, with a lot of fun and having to boss around whenever he likes. He wanted his son to be the spotlight too, but Ben liked it quite.

In this situation, Logan was the only friend to Ben, who being an adult, didn’t treat Ben as not being competent enough. Also, Ben quickly became friends with Logan's dog Zeus.

The story moves on for Beth falls in love with Logan and all is going great but Logan had met Ben's father earlier and was in some little fight with him. Keith, Ben's father, being the snobby person, as he was, hated Logan as it is and would never tolerate him near his ex wife, whom he still fancies.

Logan finds the 'lucky charm'
Logan discovers that Keith was behind all failed relationships of Beth over the ages and he himself confronts Keith and asks him to stay away. The any Keith finds a way to revenge Logan and tells Beth about the photograph.

Beth had originally given the picture to her brother Drake and it had meant to keep him safe. He had lost the picture and asked her to send another one. She had just delayed in sending one, and before she could, the news came that he was dead. Logan having the photo came of a shock to Beth. As it is, she didn’t like the idea of people surviving when her brother had died and now she feels that Logan was responsible.

What difference Logan makes to Beth's life
After being put to senses by Nana, Beth and Logan make up. Keith cant really tolerate it and he threatens Beth. Ben hears this all and he runs away from the house not wanting to be around Keith. There was a storm and Ben gets stuck in the Creek. Both Logan and Keith jump to save Ben but at last Zeus is the one to do so.

Keith dies in the process.

Ben with Logan

Later, Logan and Beth are shown together. Beth calls Keith a hero for despite everything, he died saving his son and that's how she wanted Ben to remember him.

--

It was a good book, really. I am not faking about this. I mean after like 60 - 70 pages, I really couldn’t wait to just complete it. But what I felt wrong was the narration.
Nicholas Spark, I feel, has a charm to charm people with words. This book, however, lacked it.
Its words were lacking the magic, even though the story was really good.

Buy it on ebay - The Lucky One

The character of Logan - trust me, he's a damn sweetheart. Probably the Marines did it to him or whatever else be the reason, he is a wonderful listener and appreciates silence more than a majority of people.
Beth, who is stuck up in her life, tired of tying loose ends, she appreciates how Logan is happy just to sit beside her or walk in silence. He doesn’t have demands for outings or control over her life.
On the other hand, Beth is shown to be a silenced soul. With whatever of her is described, I can imagine
her to be an activist out when she was young but over the years and especially when she lost her parents, she became quiet, never trusting anyone but Nana and Drake, enough to confide in them.
Ben, well if there is one line that I can use for him - I really don’t buy Ben's character. Fine I get it he chooses Violin over Soccer, still!
Keith, hahaha!! In the first chapter of the book, when he is revealed for the first time, I honestly thought him to be a fat, slightly balding sheriff with like bushy mustache. Even though he doesn’t turn out quite the way I thought in the physical description, he is the same in terms of his behavior.

Later then I discovered that it has already been made to a movie and now I am eagerly waiting for the movie.
You are going to see the movie review soon!! ;)

In the meanwhile, if you are a Nicholas Spark fan, I think you might be disappointed. But if you are looking for a good love-story, not one you would relate to, but a good one - go definitely read it!

Jeene Laga Hoon...

I am sure everyone has heard this song from the to-be-released movie Ramaiya Vastavaiya, starring Girish (a newbie) and Shruti Hassan.
This movie is a Hindi - remake of the Telugu movie, which also happened to be the directorial debut of Prabhu Deva. Prabhu Deva is the director of this movie as well.
This song is beautifully sung by none other than - Atif Aslam and Shreya Ghoshal.

Critical reception

Anand Holla of Mumbai Mirror wrote— "Centered on a candyfloss hookline, "Jeene Laga Hoon" has Atif Aslam watermarked all over it. The expansive soundscape helps Aslam's vocals."[4] The Times of India wrote— "Atif Aslam and Shreya Ghoshal sing the first track "Jeene Laga Hoon" beautifully. After a long time humming is made to sound so good in a song. The rhythmic number has a pure romantic feel to it. Shreya's voice is a treat for her fans but the song lacks grandeur. The simple love song has good lyrics."[5] Similarly, Oye! Times wrote— "The lead track of the album, "Jeene Laga Hoon Pehle Se Zyaada", underscores this talent best. The song has universal appeal across ages and demographics and yet does not sound even a whiff dated, though you could almost hear a legend like Mukesh singing it! The lyrics of "Jeene Laga Hoon" are simple and heard-before but of the kind that will always appeal to all, starting with the paradox-laden mukhda that is so reminiscent of Anand Bakshi - Jeene Laga Hoon Pehle Se Zyaada / Pehle Se Zyaada Tum Pe Marne Laga Hoon."
- Souce : Wikipedia
Jeene laga hoon, pehle se zyada  Pehle se zyada, tumpe marne laga hoon   Main mera dil aur tum ho yahaan  Phir kyun ho palkein jhukaye wahaan  Tum sa haseen pehle dekha nahin  Tum is.sey pehle thhe jaane kahaan  Jeene laga hoon pehle se zyada  Pehle se zyada tumpe marne laga...  hmmmmm... ho..   Rehte ho aake jo tum paas mere  Tham jaaye pal yeh wahin  Bas main yeh sochun...   Sochun main tham jaaye pal yeh  Paas mere jab ho tum... (x2)   Chalti hai saansein,  pehle se zyada Pehle se zyada,  dil theharne laga...  Hmmmmm... ho...    Tanhaaiyon mein tujhe dhoonde mera dil  Har pal yeh tujhko hi,  soche bhala kyun   Tanhaai mein dhoonde tujhe dil  Har pal tujhko soche (x2)   Milne lage dil,  pehle se zyada  Pehle se zyada,  ishq hone laga..  Hmmmm... ho...
Honestly, this is one movie I am waiting for just to see how this song gets pictured. Very aptly said by the critics, this song has Atif written all over it. You just have to listen to it once to fall in love with it. Infact, I fell in love with a guy listening to this song ;) and ofcourse got off him as soon as the song ended ;) The song starts with a little echo / hall effect, which is really wonderful and slow. Then we get the nice beats, which makes this song so lovely. Suddenly, there are words which are way better than many lyrics that I have heard in a long time.  Yes, I am very partial towards this song, but I will still admit that the lyrics are not as good as of Lootera movie,[Lootera movie review - Lootera Movie Review; Lootera Music Review - Lootera Music Review] still, they are really good. After all this is a romantic song and romantic songs are all about feelings. And when you feel love, you have very few words to express it. This song has nicely wrapped the feelings in those few words. The best part of the song is the way the female playback (Shreya) supports the male part. It is like completing his words - and well that's the whole idea of love, to complete each other! And again, like critics said, this is one song that has a lot of humming, in a good way. One song, that got you humming after a long time. I thought I would write this after the movie release, but I just couldnt stop myself!   PS: If you havent heard the song - DO IT NOW!!

Natural Ways to help your 'HAIR' - I

Like Nails, I am quite obsessed with my hair as well. Take Care of your Nails
Thanks to my mother, I was born blessed with good thick hair which grew in volumes. However, being thick, they were good curly and so I never liked that (I still don’t like curly)…
Therefore, despite liking long hair, I would cut them and never let them grow long enough.

About two years back, I got them rebonded. And that was my last thing with damaging them!!

Very important - if you are using a certain shampoo for long, don’t change it all of a sudden! Your hair falls like hell - that's my success story to spoiling my hair on the first place :(
And the second amazing thing I did to spoil them was use heavy chemicals. All shampoos and conditions which offer anything more than one thing - are BAD. They are high on chemical content and so never use them. Your shampoo should be as mild as possible - try herbal shampoos. I know they suck, but in the long run, they work.

I am using Ramdev's shampoo for quite sometime now and along with that I have been doing some other things too, and trust me, my hair is thick again. The quality of my hair is improving and I just love this thing about them. Even now when they are all curly and wavy again, I cant help my hand touching them over and over again. They are like pure silk when of course I have done the right thing to them ;)

Okie, so the hair care thing, I am going to post in small bits, for I realized that it was hard for anyone to read the entire nail section and get it completely. What's done is done… am not gonna do extra work to set it right.. I am sure you know me that much :)

WARNING! Hair are even more delicate than nails. You better spend atleast 10 mins daily to tend them, or you will never be able to. And its not a job for a month or an year. It's a lifetime process. So be prepared for it.
Also, like nails, if you got long hair, you wont be able to help them. For the longer the hair grows, the more damaged it gets. If you want good quality hair, I seriously advice to first cut your hair to a reasonable length (like a little longer than shoulder length) and then take care of them and see them grow healthy.

Here is the trick that you should do for the rest of your life!! Yes, you might not believe that, but if you follow just one tip for the rest of your life - your hair will eventually turn out great and will grow to a good length and remain so!

 1. Regular Massaging with Basic Oils

Regular massaging of the scalp with lukewarm oil helps to stimulate the hair follicles. This is also an easy way to cure hair growth deterrents like dandruff and fungal infections. Regular massaging increases the blood circulation in the scalp. It is also useful for lowering anxiety or stress that is often the underlying reason for thinning of hair. Recommended oils for 3 to 4 times-a-week massaging schedule includes coconut oil. You can alternate this with mustard oil. Keep the oil on for at least six hours before washing it off with a mild shampoo. Other oils that can be mixed with coconut oil in trace amounts for faster results include almond oil.

I say :

Massaging your help keeps it nourished and it is basically the food your hair need (this is what my mommy used to tell me when I was a little girl)… The best oil is definitely Coconut Oil. Use the Parachute Hot Coconut oil and take just in small quantity and massage your scalp ever so gently and you will see it works. Yes, it takes some time and you have to be patient but it will definitely work.
I don’t use coconut oil but an old oil called 'JawaKusum' and it has worked for me as well!!

2. Natural Concoctions for Preventing Hair Loss

Coconut milk is among the richest sources of tissue-nourishing, plant derivatives. It is an excellent home remedy for keeping the hair soft without depending upon chemical formulations and regenerating dead hair follicles. You can also use a concoction of coconut oil mixed with half the amount of Amla oil. Just add a dash of lemon juice to this mixture and you have an effective, dandruff-fighting and scalp-healing concoction that arrests receding hairline.

3. Nature’s Effective Hair-stimulating Juices

Wheatgrass juice is one of the most effective remedies against hair fall. It is known to decrease the shedding tendency of hair within a few weeks of regular intake. Aloe vera juice has a similar effect. However, aloe gel can be applied to the scalp too. This is helpful for preventing hair loss due to irritated, dry or infected scalp. After massaging the head with aloe gel, wash the hair with lukewarm water. This can be done twice, every week.

4. Slightly Demanding But Very Effective Natural Therapies

You can make your own hair fall-preventing medicine at home by frying some fenugreek (methi) seeds in coconut oil. Strain this mixture and apply it in minimal amounts, rubbed gently into the hair roots. Alternatively, you can boil some henna leaves in mustard oil. After cooling and straining this preparation, add drops of it in your coconut oil container that you are using for regular massaging.

5. Homemade Pastes

You can wash the hair with a paste made from Neem leaves. This is particularly effective for hair loss caused due excessive build up of scalp oil or invasive skin infections. For restoring the alkaline balance of the scalp and preventing hair fall, you can follow this with washing the hair with apple cider vinegar. Other homemade pastes that can be very useful include a mixture prepared from adding honey and olive oil to some cinnamon (dalchini) powder.

6. Arrest Hair Fall With Elementary Household Items

Before washing your hair, apply the juice extracted from crushed coriander (dhania) leaves. You can also use a mixture of curd and gram flour (chana atta) that should be kept-on for at least an hour before bathing.

7. Hair Fall Dietary Recommendations

For a comprehensive, hair fall prevention regimen, you need to be equipped with a diet plan that includes foods that can arrest hair fall and stimulate better scalp health. Recommendations here include eating more seeds and nuts (almonds and peanuts) along with green leafy vegetables like spinach and sprouts of a variety of dals (legumes). Basically, foods rich in calcium, protein and iron are vital for ensuring overall health of the scalp. Combine this with some basic dietary supplementation, i.e. using over-the-counter products that help to ensure wholesome nutrition for your hair. Regular intake of Amla juice ensures adequate amounts of Vitamin C but you can boost this with eating more guavas. Ensure you take a multivitamin that combines beta-carotenes, Vitamin B complex, Vitamin E and trace amounts of zinc and iron.

Just Remember : Your hair fall, you worry, and this makes your hair fall even faster! Stop the vicious cycle and relax!!!
