The Indian 'Tele' Bahu

She is simple, sweet, religious, loving, caring, sincere, well - mannered, beautiful, well - behaved! These maybe the qualities in a Bahu...

But the Indian Tele Bahus have the K - factor... yes the X - factor works for Powerpuff Girls.. for Indian Tele... it's the 'K' factor! Back to the topic.. our Indian Tele Bahu is - poor, without atleast one parent, lots of brothers and sisters to take care of or totally none, very pretty, long hair, wears only traditional Indian clothes, not at all bitchy, extra sweet and caring, gets along very easily with everyone in the new family, tolerant, intelligent, and is always the one praised!

If I was writing some 2 - 3 years back,... I would strictly mention the Kekta Bahu.. but today Kekta shows are not much on air and all shows have the same story.. so in generalisation - Tele Bahu...

Every story starts with a young beautiful girl who is poor.. the hero either falls in love with her or starts hating her...

If he is in love with her. she marries him.. but then the difficulties start... atleast 1 family member is not happy with her and will leave no stone unturned to throw her out... usually that one member is the 'saas' ... to reduce this 'saas - effect' we usually have a good 'sasur' or in case of Kekta 'baa' ... The girl takes 2 - 3 years to realise its been long to her marriage and changes her style of dressing... (mind u.. on daily basis the style remains the same for days.. only colours change... so a change in style is a BIG thing)... anyways... till now the saas becomes a little silent.. so somewhere from the boy's past another girl arises or the 'devrani' comes into action...
The vamp is differentiated with her bindi, western styled Indian dresses (like sleeveless blouses), speaking more in mind than through mouth... and alot like that...

The husband gets bored all the while and so has an accident after which has an affair or simply meets an accident.

If the heroine is not in love with the hero.. they are made to marry. In this case, the hero is bad... has a few girlfriends, but the family is really good and very caring. But the girlfriend keeps popping in between them. Accidently the hero falls in love with the heroine seeing how good and soft natured she is. The girlfriend acts as the catalyst here and brings them closer..
Once close enough, the girlfriend only separated them.

All this keeps on and on till the viewers totally stop watching the serial. After which, the serial takes a leap.

Now this will keep happening till the eldest person in the show is not atleast 700 and the main characters have not been lost, into jail, dead and burnt, lost memory, got plastic surgery done, have a shade change of character, have a double totally different self and lost a child (either dead or replaced by some other one)...

I wonder if I had a family like this :P
