Kick : Movie Review

The best part about the movie - Wonderful songs! All of them… Each of them is so beautiful that I can keep
listening to each one of them like forever. And a bonus point is that Salman Khan has given his voice to all the songs. At points, he can sing really well but at others… well, he gets too flat. Nonetheless, because I so want to sing, I really appreciate him singing.

The second best thing about the movie - It is based on some real good thought! And I did a post about Salman Khan that someone who even thinks this good to make movies such as Kick and Jai Ho, needs to be good at heart. It is like that this particular person cannot leave his job and start social service but whatever he is good at -
acting, he is using that as his tool to spread a good message and make the world a better place. I loved his thought in Jai Ho, to help others and in this movie, I loved it that children are to be cared for beyond anything.

The third best thing about the movie - if you are a Salman Khan fan… you might just fall in love with certain bits of the movie. Salman's character plays two phases - Devi Lal Singh and Devil [SPOILER ALERT]… It is like they are both the same people with the gap of an year. The honest review will be that while playing Devil, Salman Khan has looked really old and  mature but in the bits where he played Devi Lal, he has looked quite young, almost as young as he looked in Bandhan…
and truthfully, he is looking quite good and hot. So, you might not want to miss that out. Also, he has sung the songs.

Now, for the things not SO good about the movie -
The other characters hardly had any role - Jacqueline Fernandez, Mithun Chakaravarty and Archana Puran Singh have so much potential but they were just not given much scenes or their roles hardly had any role! It was moreover a movie about Salman Khan, a little of Randeep Hooda, Salman Khan, bits of the insane villain portrayed by Nafassudin (sorry if his name is something else) and lots of Salman Khan.

Also, the attempts at the jokes are BAD. There is a very tiny Dabangg sequence which is totally out of place. There are jokes made by Devi Lal which are useless.

Quite honestly, I never even liked the concept of the 'Kick' what was tried to conveyed through the movie. I mean yes, people don’t get excited or don’t find something worth the effort but there are a thousand better ways to demonstrate that than what was chosen.

And the worst of all - the villain is insane! I mean he is shown stupid. I mean, you know in a movie like this, if
the villain is not a strong character, the movie loses the charm. Remember Mogambo and Shakal… or even Gogo. Those were some of the legendary villains. People want them destroyed and lost. And, for instance, Mr. India was totally hypothetical that a common man who doesn’t even have things to eat finds a device to make him invisible and then he defeats a millionaire who has several connections and a team of evil genius scientists
working for him… but people wanted that to happen. People enjoyed seeing Mogambo's lair breaking to dust. But in this movie - the villain played hide and seek. First and foremost, he had a very weak built in front of Salman Khan and then he laughed in a stupid way. To make everything worse, he wont even fight like a man. I mean, could he be worse? What I think… the villain was more aptly a mixture of a variety of evils that exist in our society - negligence towards health… ministers involved in corruption… ill thinking for women… but you know metamorphism doesn’t work well for hindi movies, I believe.

See this movie review is different. I am not telling the story because I believe that it is already apparent from
the promos and everything. But for some reason I really wanted to write why I liked and disliked the movie and this is what I have made attempts at! Overall, you can see this movie once - at your home - when they show it on the television a few months later - without ads version. But I wouldn’t recommend you to spend your money unless you really want to. However, I would want you to try and look beyond the shortcomings and absorb the message from the movie. Like he said, we don’t really need heroes to bring a change… we are enough change if we bring it in ourselves!

Miracle of the Day : 1st August 2014

This is a very small and tiny thing that touched my heart in a big way.

My parents and I went for dinner with some of my father's office friends. There was this wonderful singer who would play old hindi songs on the piano and sing them. His voice was magic. You could bet that he is not
singing and there is someone playing the songs somewhere. He was that good. And his choice of songs was wonderful as well. We often go to the restaurant that we had gone to and everytime I hear this man sing, the enchantment just deepens. I wish that someday I would have the courage and the voice to get up, go to him and offer to sing along side. Maybe someday if the restaurant is empty. I wouldn’t want the other customers to freak out.

Anyways… so after the wonderful meal, we were returning and my parents and I got into the lift while the rest of the people with us got into the other lift. In our lift, the singer dude was also there.

My dad playfully asked me how many gol gappas I had eaten and just to let you know - I love gol gappas. I firmly believe that they are man's biggest invention. Anyhow, to continue, I said 11, truthfully and then my dad and I started having a little father-daughter moment and he started teasing me. And just then, the singer smiled. When I looked at him (so did my parents), he said that 'WE' have really delicious ones.

Now the miracle was that even though he has nothing at all to do with the cooking, he said we. I wonder if the chef was to speak, would be even consider the singer dude. I mean, this was something that really touched me.
Many people would argue that the restaurant is a huge thing and the guy would gain some fame being associated to it but as the singer is not famous, why would the restaurant say it is associated to him? But you know, everything in life is not a profit-loss situation. Sometimes, compassion and fraternity really count. At least to me they do. And so, I really felt amazing having met this singer dude and hearing him.

Google it? then POST it!

I am a person with very limited knowledge but I can help in a wide variety of topics, almost anything. And this
is simply because I have an internet connection in my cellphone and whenever I need anything, I google it.

Today, while coming back from somewhere, we had parked the car and then it wont just start up. There was some weird symbol on the dashboard, one I saw for the first time. My dad tried everything and we even called a lot of help but nothing could be done. It was dark and getting late, so we came home leaving the car there in the parking. But it is then I realized something… I may not know how to fix a car but I am a CSE graduate and I know how to google. I was doing my bit very well.

But then I also thought about something a mentor had told me. He had said that every little article or every single information on the internet is because someone else put it there. Even when you post a little question and people reply, they are taking time out of their lives to answer you back, provide you information, free of cost and they don’t even know you. It is like wow!

He also told me that whenever I search for something, I should in some way put the answer on the internet after my problem is solved. There is a good chance that there is someone else on the planet who faces the same problem.

Today, when I googled about my car and I got some answers (though they said that nothing could be done and the dealer was to be contacted), I realized that whoever wrote this, even if it was just one line, I don’t know who she/he is but they proved to be quite helpful. And not just here… I probably google a thousand things and read tens of answers for every search result.

Therefore… everything that I search on the internet will eventually find its way into my blog. Not everything to be honest but I will try my best, especially, if I got very few answers. And to anyone who reads it, I am not asking you for much but even if you spend a minute each day to answer a question, you will have helped so many people by your efforts of just one month that you couldn’t even believe yourself.
So…. If you google it, do POST it!

Being Salman Khan

I just saw 'Kick' and before the movie review… I knew, that this post was due! Now, I have been meaning to
write this post for a really long time now but something came in the way.

Let me start from the beginning - I don’t know how but somehow, I really started liking Salman Khan and Salman Khan movies. But then came the horrible show Bigg Boss 7 and there I really hated the way he was partial and protective of Tanisha Mukherji and then I started hating him.

Anyways… since then, two of his movies have come out - Jai Ho and now, Kick.

I really can't say whether Salman Khan is nice or not but there is one thing that I know that a person who makes movies on such topics should be really nice or at least his thoughts or his conscious should be.

You know, once I talked to a counsellor for what I should be doing with my career and then he told me that if Amitabh Bachchan was to be a painter… maybe he wouldn’t be very good with the skills but because he is Amitabh Bachchan, he would nonetheless sell well.

Even now, I have moments when I want to do so much with just one life and I know that it is not possible to achieve everything… But then I look at this guy - Salman Khan. Maybe he too wanted to be more than an actor - a philanthropist, maybe. And he has found a wonderful way to be one. He doesn’t leave his job but that doesn’t stop him from making efforts to build a better society. And I find it very noble thing of him. I mean, maybe he is not doing everything from his own hands but he is doing something and not just sitting there and killing time and his potential.

As of now, I know that I might no longer be in love with the actor but there is some respect that I now have for him - for the not Human Being but someone who Be(ing)s Human!!

Gravity

Anyone who thinks that this is a movie review - I am sorry to disappoint you… but "Itni aukat nahi hai meri ke itni mast movie ka review likhne ka soch sakun!!" i.e. "I am not a person worthy to even think of writing a review for a movie of such a calibre!!" IT IS ONE HELL OF A STORY!!

Still, there will be loads of SPOILERS!!

Well… so the movie is about a team of 5 - 6 people who go out in space for a space mission. 2 of them - Matt (short of Mathew) and Shariff, are roaming around in space while one Dr. Ryan Stone (a She) is installing the Hubble Telescope. And then they get a news that the Russians have fired a missile that has generated some chemical debris. As a chain reaction of this, one of their own space stations gets affected and there is a lot of space-station debris revolving there. They get the warning but a little too late for the three of them to get inside the main station.
When this metallic meteorites hit them, Ryan is drifted off far away and loses contact with everyone. Just when she gave up, she heard Mathew call out for her. He too was drifted away from the station. He comes to her and then they both make their way back to their station, which neither of them are able to communicate with.

On the way, they find the floating body of Shariff, a meteorite broke through his suit and right through his head, creating a hole where his nose and upper jaw should be. Then they discover that because the spacecraft was also damaged, everyone inside the spacecraft have died due to lack of oxygen.
Matt points to the International Space Station and he has some kind of device that helps him motor his way in space. Anyways, they both make their way towards the ISS. Matt ties Ryan to himself as she was low on oxygen and was also losing hope. Finally, they reach there and while Matt is able to stabilize himself from the impact of landing, Ryan isn't. However, she finally finds herself entangled in some wires. Matt, who comes to rescue her, finds the situations totally reversed. As Ryan is entangled in the wires, she is the one holding both their weights (remember, Matt is attached to Ryan). Ryan detaches himself and makes Ryan promise that she will return and not give up hope. Ryan tries to stop him from doing so but he drifts away. He keeps talking to her, to give her hope and strength to move on and then eventually fades away.

Ryan goes inside the space station and before drifting away, Matt had told her that there is a spacecraft but it is in no fit shape to take her back to Earth. However, it will do to take her to the nearby Chinese Space Station, where there is another spacecraft that can be used for landing.
Once Ryan is inside the space station, first she relaxes herself as the oxygen inside her suit had finished long back. She then tried to locate Matt but she can't make any communication and those she can see him as a white dot against the black endless space, she knows he is dead and decides to move as he wanted her to. Initially, she makes a lot of efforts to detach the spacecraft (and the metallic meteorite shower returns) from the space station and once she is able to do that, she realizes that there is no fuel to fly it to anywhere. Ryan accepts her fate that she was going to die. She thinks of her daughter, who died at the age of 4. Ryan switches off the engines and the oxygen in hope to slowly drift towards death, however, just then, she has a vision of Matt coming into the spacecraft who talks some sense into her and gives her the courage. She realizes that he was only a vision. But then, her illusion gave her a way to go to the Chinese Space Station. She does so and finally reaches there.

When she gets inside the Chinese Space Station, she sees that the metallic meteorite shower will be there within a few minutes. Also, because of the same, the Chinese Space Station was losing altitude and it would soon hit the Earth's atmosphere. Once inside, it takes her a little time to locate the spacecraft, as she was new to this model of the space station. When she finds it, its instructions were in Chinese but she recalls Matt telling her that it is a replica of the spacecraft of ISS. She makes some lucky choices and finally is able to launch the already descending spacecraft into landing. Several parts of the space station were already detaching because of the meteorite shower when the spacecraft detached itself from it. The space station broke into several pieces all of which made their way into the Earth's atmosphere at an incredible speed. The pieces caught fire and it grew extremely hot but Ryan continued.
Finally, she was below the clouds and the parachute opened. She landed on a water body which immediately drowned the vessel as soon as the door bolted open. Ryan swam out of the vessel and then to the top to the surface, emerging as not only the lone survivor of their mission but also as a new person altogether!!

--

You know, seriously, I have tried my best to mention every small bit that I loved in the movie but trust me, I still havent done complete justice. The movie is way too good. And in case you havent seen it, go now and see it!!

Right from Shariff's 'Mera Joota Hai Japani' to the hole through the centre of his face… from the floating teardrops to the billions of stars… from the sunrise-i-would-give-anything-to-watch to the back-stories of the characters - amazing! I loved each and every bit of it. How even in emergency they talked according to their code of conduct… How the pieces of the Chinese Space Station kept flowing away… Everything was brilliant. Well, I honestly don't know what it is like to be space or the technicalities were upto the mark or not… but I know that in a total sci-fi movie where every 5 minutes you have something to make you hold your chair more tightly, telling the back-stories of the characters, in such a deep in beautiful way, can only be accomplished by the best of the director and writer, working together! And not only they, but I believe it takes the entire team to be brilliant and perfect to pull off something like this. Sandra Bullocks was just too good. Right from the first scene, I thought it was her but I could never be sure until she took off her suit… I couldn’t believe she performed so amazingly!

Very honestly, hats off!!
Totally Amazing!!

Is Female molestation a lesser of a cime??

Sometime back, I was having a random discussion with someone - and let me take a moment to tell you that this is no ordinary someone, but he is someone I really look up to, adore and respect… However, for that one instance, I seriously disagree with him.

We were discussing about a fight that happened between two boys in my college, in the boys hostel. Two boys, both, frankly, were exceptional cases and they got into a fight. Both of them were drunk and while one was known for his drinking, the other was known for his violence. Anyways, the college head decides to take a surprise visit and he sees them fighting - now it is another matter of discussion that how come the director was visiting the hostel at that very moment?, but let is keep it for some other time. So, these boys were fighting and the director shows up and he tries to intervene. Now there was other faculty members with him, but still HE alone decides to intervene.

Well, I don’t take alcohol and I am definitely Not pro-violence and am a girl, yet I know that when you see two drunk guys fighting, you leave them if you want yourself to be safe and sound. But nope, our director sir was bound to do the other right thing. And in this process, he gets hit. Now some say that he got a bruised forehead and the others say that he got hit on the jaw - quite honestly, there was nothing visible and so, nothing serious.
However, the guy who drinks more, was immediately suspended from the college - thankfully, he was in the last 1 month of his graduation and so, he wasn't rusticated.

However, a little more than an year ago, the same guy was caught for being excessively drunk and troubling a girl. The girl was a faculty ward and therefore, the faculty just hit him nicely, locked him up in his room and did other such things to let him repent…. But I have a small, tiny little question - I agree that violence is bad and that our director could be gravely injured and thankfully he wasn’t, but is fighting a bigger offence than molesting a girl? Of course, I agree it was in the college campus and the moment the girl shouted, everyone came to help her and even then, it wasn't much. However, it was an attempt!

I don't say that the boy shouldn’t be punished now for what he did and neither do I say that you hang him for behaving badly with a girl…. All I say is that isnt there something wrong with our society, somewhere?
How come the dignity of one human being be negligible? How can someone even think that you should just make the girl understand and ask her to silence herself? I mean, you are the only one asking us to shut up, when you are committing crimes against women!! I really don't get it - what kind of society am I a part of?

I mentioned being in the discussion with sir (I won't mention the name), because I believe him to be a very learned man and a man of reason and when he said that the girl issue could be set aside, I was shocked. Shocked, because if I see it coming from him, I know there must be some real good logic and back-up behind it. That day, a shocking fact revealed itself to me, somewhere, this is how our society thinks - this is how the minds are being moulded.

Yes, I agree that having women protection laws and rules, a quite many girls are misusing them or exploiting them in ways that can't be justified but when there is a just cause, can we overlook it? If there is a problem, do we solve the problem or ignore the entire section of the society that has that problem?

I havent written this post to say I am upset with that man… I haven't written it to defame either of the two guys and nor is it an attempt to write out anything against my college… because it is not a problem at this level. Even when we fight for 'gender equality', somewhere our minds have been moulded to think of girls as the weaker gender and this is what I think as WRONG. I also believe that the first step to solving any problem is accepting that we have a problem. And so my friends, this post is a mere attempt to point out a fault in our society and in the minds of people all around us. Only when we know the problem, we will be able to solve it!!
Concluding, I just hope and pray that I leave a better planet for a better generation, whenever I leave! Inshallah!

Ek Villain : Movie Review

http://cdn.koimoi.com/wp-content/new-galleries/2014/05/galliyan-first-track-of-ek-villain-to-release-on-9th-may01.jpghttp://datastore03.rediff.com/h1500-w1500/thumb/52605E5F6D6C65665C60665C696C7371/elz9ow06dzqz2c8m.D.0.Shraddha-Kapoor-Ek-Villain-Movie-Image.jpghttp://blog.raag.fm/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/Ek-Villain.jpgThis is truly and definitely one of the most beautiful scripts to be made into a movie. I know there would be several people who would term this movie as 'idealistic' - something that is never likely to occur in real life but, for this very reason, hats off to the story writer and the creators. People like 'Aisha' (Shraddha Kapoor's character name) are definitely too few. One thing that I know for sure, someone who created a character such as Aisha and who believed that someone like Guru (Siddharth Malhotra's character name) could change so drastically, is definitely keeping the goodness alive. So for that very thing, for the very idea, the goodness behind the movie, I thank the entire team of the movie.

SPOILER ALERT!!                                           http://www.filmygyaan.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/ek-villain-movie-box-office-prediction-report.jpg

This movie has been in a lot of talks and discussions since a long time, primarily due to its songs - which let me tell you, are amazing. Moreover, it has the new B-Town hottest favourite - Siddharth Malhotra and definitely a pretty face we are going to keep seeing - Sharaddha Kapoor, which just gave the fans some more to add on to the ongoing talks.

Anyways… I just finished watching the movie and it is one heck of a movie. Indeed it is so beautiful, that my comeback post had to be about it.
For some time, I have known that I havent blogged and it was because of exams and other stuff going on in college but now that I am free, I know that I should blog. I was even working on some posts but none of the other topics gave me so much to write as this one.

If you have heard the songs - It isn't very difficult to find out the chronological order of the love story. Initially, a rugged life handsome hunk, Guru, meets Aisha, who is very lively and http://datastore05.rediff.com/h1500-w1500/thumb/52605E5F6D6C65665C60665C696C7371/dde1m2d41nxnxqs1.D.0.Shraddha-Kapoor-Ek-Villain-Film-Still.jpg cheerful - that is when 'Banjara' comes into play… "…Jeena mujhe phir se wohh sikha raha…" and quite like the lyrics, Guru gets addicted to Aisha's lively nature and helps her fulfil her dreams which are just to make her happy and which she tells Guru are her last wishes as she was terminally ill. Guru has some horrors of his past and to take revenge he is set on the path of crime. When Aisha sees him, she decides that she needs to save him - save a life! And so she starts following him to make him agree to help her kidnap someone. Finally, when he agrees to, he was asked to kidnap an http://cdn.koimoi.com/wp-content/new-galleries/2014/04/ek-villain-official-teaser-feat-sidharth-malhotra-shraddha-kapoor-riteish-deshmukh-movie-stills_01.jpgelderly man from Old Age Home. Chhotu, the elderly man, is forced there by his family and actually he wishes to marry his long lost love. Aisha gets them married. Guru tells that he never felt this peace since his parents died (the horror of his past) and not even revenge got him the sleep this marriage did.
For some unknown reason, Guru insists on helping Aisha fulfil her other dreams. He takes her to see the butterflies, the peacocks, he makes it snow for her, he takes her to underwater diving and many more. In a way he becomes a part of all her dreams and she becomes his dreams.
Knowingly or Unknowingly, the two of them fall in love… which is quite obvious. But because this story is from Guru's perspective, we only know that he is in love. And that is when 'Galliyan' comes in. "… Yeh lamhe, lamhe ye resham se… kho jaaye, kho na jaaye humse…" … Guru knows that Aisha is terminally ill but he just couldn’t help fall more and more in love http://entranceupdates.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/Ek-Villain-2nd-Day-Saturday-Box-Office-Collection.jpgwith her. He spends every moment of his time making her dreams come true. He doesn’t still smile but there is a drastic change from what he was when Aisha first saw him and what he became. Somewhere, he decides that he is going to lead his life her way.
But when Aisha realizes that she is in love with Guru, she knows that even if they unite, one day, she will die and so she plans to leave the city. But then, Guru comes to the station and he expresses his love in the best possible manner that his characteristics permit him to. Finally, Aisha gives in and that is when they get married and we get the song 'Hamdard'…
Both of them are shown to be a really cute couple. Ofcourse, they have their own place which is obviously decorated in accordance to Aisha. Some real cute moments such as flying paper planes into the city and just roaming about… shopping and the smiles that would never stop! Also, Aisha gets treated. Those scenes are very emotional as both Aisha and Guru are going through tough times. Aisha wants the life and Guru wants her to be fine. In a way, they both stand by each other in the difficult times. "… Pal do pal ki kyun hai zindagi… Iss Pyaar ko hai Sadiyaan kaafi nahi…"!! Guru leaves his old life behind for Aisha.http://datastore04.rediff.com/h1500-w1500/thumb/52605E5F6D6C65665C60665C696C7371/4e8wx88gdjw1k6fu.D.0.Shraddha-Kapoor-Ek-Villain-Film-Photo.jpg
Like any obvious Bollywood Movie, Aisha gets fine. The two of them spend a happy life. Guru finally has found peace and decides to move on. Aisha gets him to apply for jobs. He has gone for an interview and Aisha is at home. He calls her to tell her that he got the job and that is when he hears her scream for help. Someone was attacking her in the house. Also, quite a HIMYM twist - this scene - the killing scene is the first scene of the movie. Aisha dies and the entire story behind their love story, leading to this very moment, was shown in flashback with Guru thinking over how he spent the last two years of his life with Aisha. Even the Policemen are scared that they must bring Aisha's killer behind bars or else if Guru decides on taking revenge, he is going to kill a lot of people.http://www.bollymirror.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/ek-villain-movie-wiki-story-cast-bollymirror.jpg
Rakesh (Riteish Deshmukh's character) is a psychologically ill person. He loves his wife Sulochana (played by Aamna Shariff) but because they are not well off and Rakesh doesn’t stand up for himself much, Sulochana is always criticizing him. Everytime he gets frustrated with her talks, he kills any lady who tells him even a rude word. That is his way of taking out his frustration over someone else and keep loving his wife. In turn, he takes someone of the person he killed as a gift for his wife. After killing Aisha, he took her chain and one paper fan for his son.
Guru sees that fan and recognizes it immediately. He starts following Rakesh, stopping him from attacking others and in turn beating the life out of him, yet keeping him alive. http://www.takemyway.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/Latest-Poster-Of-Ek-Villain-Check-Out-Release-Date-And-Full-movies-Details.jpg
Later Guru gets to know that Aisha was pregnant when she was murdered. He gets even more furious. He beats Rakesh again and tells that his wife was pregnant when Rakesh killed her.
Rakesh uses it to identify whose relative Guru is and then kills Aisha's father. He then tricks Guru into coming to Guru's own place where Rakesh was hiding. Apparently, Sulochana was being troubled by the Police because of her husband's wrong doings and she gave an interview on television saying that her husband was a very nice person and he can't have done anything like this and that she loved him. This was the only thing Rakesh needed - to hear from his wife that she loved him. Finally, when she says it on national television, he knows that he has a chance to die hero for his family or else someday, they will get to know the truth.
He tricks Guru into coming and then asks Guru to kill him, so that Guru is framed as the villain. But at that very moment, Guru's former alliance go to Rakesh's place and kill Soluchana. Rakesh is left devastated and both of them fight, and finally Rakesh dies but out of his own misdeeds and Guru, as he promised, didn't kill anyone. He goes to Rakesh's house and finds Rakesh's son hiding under the bed, facing the same he had when he was a kid. He gives his hand to the child - a symbolic of bringing him into light, just like Aisha had done to his life.
Last scene shows that Guru is fulfilling the other wishes of Aisha, like he had promised her with Rakesh's son.http://infocharcha.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/06/p3hzrjuyysy3rzol.D.0.Ek-Villain-Movie-Photo.jpg

Another important thing to mention before I forget is - We see PRACHI DESAI doing an item number. It is not the item number that is disturbing, because quite truthfully, it is more of a sad song with girls wearing minimum clothes, rather than an item number. Anyways, the shocking thing was seeing Prachi transform from the Kasam Se's Bani to the roop she had when she came on screen. I took a moment, pausing the movie to look again. I wouldn't say that she looked nice, because I didn’t think so, but yes, very different.
http://img.india-forums.com/wallpapers/1280x1024/320477-ek-villain.jpg
I am not crying…. Well that is mostly because of the reason that I have some inherent dislike towards Shraddha, don’t know why and moreover, it is a Balaji movie and I can't still digest how can Ekta do something so heart touching and I always think on the same lines but never thought about it much. Truthfully, I am a little envious; but mostly, I am glad that such a nice movie was made and that I saw it.

All in all…. It is totally worth your money so go to the nearest multiplex near you and see the movie!!

Miracle of the Day : Anniversary

I remember well enough that the first 'Miracle of the Day' was for 1st May 2013 when I felt glad wishing someone happy birthday.
Now I agree that I haven't been frequent enough to think of something good each day to touch people's lives but I have tried to share and capture all the moments that I could remember.

Miracle of the Day was my attempt to remember how beautiful life is - and that it is beautiful because of all the people around us. Therefore, it is of utmost importance that I value those people - that I affect them in a good way.
Moreover, there are several times when other people make me feel very special.
I would give up anything in this world to keep these moments with me forever and to treasure them for eternity.

So here is to another year ahead of wonderful moments and memories. I hope I would blog more.
And most importantly - Happy Birthday Vivek sir :)

Miracle of the Day : 30th April 2014

I learned something very special today.
For quite a few days, I admit, I am being really bad. I have a very nice friend who got committed to again, a very dear person of mine. Somewhere, I was feeling a hole inside of me - kind of a hole that needed a person to fill. I was feeling envious of the happiness the two of them share. It isn't that I am upset of something but I was just wanting someone dear one too.
Anyways, though I was happy, the void existed.

Today, I met someone - Gaurav sir (name disguised so you won't identify it unless you are the person himself)… It is not that I met him for the first time but I did meet him after a LONG time. In this long time, there had been several things that I had been meaning to tell him… there were moments of anger… of frustration… of a little worry and most importantly… a lot of laughter and smiles from the memories of time before that.
I keep thinking to myself that it has just been 4 months since I have met Gaurav sir but in this little time, he has become someone really important to me - he affects my priorities and today itself, I found out - he affects my hunger… For he was here, I didn't take lunch and I didn't feel hungry at all!
I look back over these 4 months and I gather that there is if not much, but a significant age difference and yet, we have talked a lot. In all the talks that we have, I don't speak much… and mind you, I am a very talkative girl. I like to listen to him. Every minute that I sit beside him, I feel I have gained something that I didn't have before. Even when he is silent, I learn how to be such passionate about one's work.

I have learnt to have fun, to see life from a different perspective, faith, joy, passion for work and don’t know what else from that one person.

I would just say that he is one person I wouldn't ever want to lose contact with. And having said that, just to show some concern, I am also penning down a story inspired from him.

Today… like I mentioned, I met sir after a long time. It was definitely some great moments. But what was even special was a single moment when he said something - don't get your horses running ;)
I was just speaking on and on and mostly nonsense because I had to say sorry to him for something and I didn't know how to start the topic. Anyways, in nervousness, I kept speaking on and on. I kept complaining about some things but to be honest, those things never bother me, not anymore at least.
And then suddenly, sir said that it seemed to him that I was really angry.

Okay, I gather that this is nothing but to me, it is a lot.
There is someone I keep my ears on - yes ears! I am always there to listen to him speak and here, he listens to me and actually gives it a thought. I really felt amazing with that thought.

The amazing thing was - I felt really happy. For the rest of the evening, I have been laughing and dancing to myself. I really don't need anyone else. I am also feeling loved. Yes I know Gaurav sir is far from being someone special in that sense to me and he isn't. Very honestly, that void is there and it is only time that will fill it when the correct person comes. But from this incident, I realized that I need to love myself to feel loved and it doesn't matter how someone else sees me or for that matter, if someone else wouldn't see me at all.

You see, Love isn't only of the kind of having a boyfriend (or a girlfriend). Love is an expression of happiness… if you happy, you are in love - simple! And today, I have realized something really important - I am in love <3 p="">

Miracle of the Day : April 11, 2014

Now I am really not so sure about the date but this will be the one I would put my maximum bets upon. So well, while writing my last blog entry, I remembered one other incident with some other junior of mine that was similar. Initially I thought I could write it there only as a special note but then I thought, this incident is also special enough to have it's own special place.

There is a boy called Shashwat and he is really sweet. I have known him for a couple of months only. Though he is my junior but well, I am not a very good person at knowing too many people. Special point before we move forward - Shashwat is NOT either of the persons I have mentioned in my previous post.
Back to the story, Shashwat and I were arguing about something. It was something he wanted for me and I was wanting for him (or something similar) and then suddenly he said something I had no counter to. He said that if I wanted to fight, alright because he can fight with his elder sister, which I was.

I am often laughed at by my friends for making so many brothers, but something they don't realize is, God might have not given me a biological sibling, but he has created so many people around me who care for me, always look after me and in a sense have created this shield around me - a shield that protects me from anything bad or harmful.
Inside, all I need to do is be happy.

In disguise of my brothers, like Shashwat, I am indeed being blessed by God. I doubt if I could ever be thankful enough to him.

Thank you Lord and Thank You Shashwat. My journey in this college would never have had been complete if I hadn't met you. I am honored to have known you and I am blessed that you are a part of my life. Thank you, not only for being so kind - hearted and tolerant with me but also for filling my life with joys.
And yes, now you have made me your sister, you will never be allowed to break free :)

I can't help wonder and smile of how many ways, the good Lord decides to surprise you !!

Miracle of the Day : April 15, 2014

Though it is a public blog post, but in this, I am taking an opportunity to communicate to two people - very dear ones to me - who made my 15th April 2014, worth remembering, forever. This is something I want to share with the entire world…

Now well, a friend of mine has helped me put words to my habit - I am very surreptitious about my inner most feelings.... that is why when the two of you called, I couldn't reciprocate in the manner I should have. Rather, I have no idea how to reciprocate to something so sweet.

Anyways... well.. on the 15th... 2 of my juniors decided to get drunk. For the reasons obvious, I am not going to mention their names here... Anyways... So these two get drunk and they are roaming around the city and I don't know why but they decide to call me.

I didnot have the number saved but I answered. The one with the phone was still very decent to tell me who he was and then he said that he wanted to tell me 3 things... rather, the two of them together wanted to tell me 3 things..
1. they well hell drunk (though the second one kept objecting that he was sober)
2. they both respect me alot (and somewhere it was very important for the first one that the two of them spoke this simultaneously)
3. they were low on balance so they would have to cut the call

Okay... I really didn't know what to say and I don't even know it now... If I had to speak, trust me, I would still stand silent. But well... maybe an engineer by qualification, I am an author by choice... so i thought I might use my words to show some gratitude.

To the both of you,
you are both really very special to me. I know it has been a very little time since we have known each other but trust me, if I were to leave this college without knowing you, I would have missed the most important thing. I really respect the two of you as people, admire you as able, learned men and care for you as I would for my own family. I want only the best for the two of you, no matter what so ever may come. And I can assure you that anytime you need me, I am just a phone call away...
Your gesture to think of me at a moment like that and to say something so sweet - I am touched. I am deeply touched and probably when the moment I die, when my life would play in front of my eyes as a river of memories, I am going to hear your voices and the words you spoke to me then.
Thank You... not only for being the best juniors I could possibly imagine but thank you, for being a part of my life and making it so much more beautiful........

I went for a stroll a little while after the call and I met the other guy (who claimed to be sober) and by God, he looked like a one year old kid then - though by age he is a few months elder to me, but he looked just to little, so naive.. so innocent that all I could do was laugh. And since then, every time he is seeing me - he is saying sorry for something only known to him.

So to him, and to the other one,
I don't encourage drinking and I seriously think you need to stay away from it but nonetheless, I don't judge people for they drink. Try to deal with things - especially tiredness, some other way but it was cool. so, Peace Out.

It is simply beautiful... everytime there is a tear drop in my eye, I wonder if I doing fine for if I am, why is there this tear drop? On moments like the ones I mentioned above, I just look up, smile towards the Lord and thank him. At the same time, I am also amused by how he works in many mysterious ways.

A little drama is required

Being an Indian, I can totally bet that you can just never get enough of drama. You may hate it yet you can’t escape it. I think that w...
